R44 Weekend Trip to the Isle of Wight.

After a summer of either no flying or only being able to fly locally. Matt, Ian and Martine made the most of some brilliant weather to send the weekend away. They departed Cotswold Airport on a Friday afternoon, making the most of a tailwind, it only took 45 minutes to get to the Isle of Wight. The plan was to spend the evening at The Hut at Colwell. It has to be said The Hut have perfected the customer experience when it comes to arriving by helicopter. As longs as you book a table, they will come and pick you up from a private landing site 5 minutes up the road and bring you to the restaurant all for the princely sum of £10 and if you eat enough seafood even that is waived.

All three stayed over at a local hotel and would slowly work their way back on Saturday. After a short flight to Lee-On-Solent for some more fuel, the trio headed back to base. All in all, 3 pilots, 4 hours and far too much food. Our R44 is readily available for self-fly hire and training at Cotswold Airport.
